![]() Hello friends! This is Bob D'Angelo, from Riverview, Fla., a suburb of Tampa, home of the 2008 AL pennant winning and 2010 AL East champion Rays (well OK, they're in St. Petersburg, but that IS part of Tampa Bay), the spring training home of the 2008 World Series champion (and 2009 NL champion) Philadelphia Phillies (who train in Clearwater); and the spring training home of the 27-time World Series champion (and Team of the Century) New York Yankees, fresh off their 2009 World Series victory; the hometown of Lou Piniella, former manager of the Chicago Cubs; and Tony La Russa, recently retired manager of the 2011 World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals. What an area!
My hobbies and interests: Baseball cards, genealogy, history, reading, coin collecting. I also have been a sports copy editor for The Tampa Tribune since 1988 and have been in the newspaper business professionally since 1979.
So, welcome to my Web page! I love baseball cards and am happy to be a part of OBC and Old Card Traders. I love to trade cards; contact me and let's swap some cardboard! This is my section of vintage cards before 1980. Here are my wantlists; if you'd like to trade, send me an e-mail at BDAngelo@aol.com. Maybe we can work out a deal. If you like to trade UV cards (1981 to the present), see my wantlist link at the bottom of the page. I was fortunate to grow up in South Florida during the early 1970s and was able to witness the Miami Dolphins' "perfect season" firsthand. Still, these cards are not a priority by any means, but if you are having trouble hitting my baseball lists, well, anything is appreciated! Updated Jan. 9, 2012: | |||||
