PEACE; AN ELUSIVE DREAM.

News about forced abuse of children, extortion, kidnapping and the stockpiling of smuggled weapons, illegal use of firearms and drugs and terrorism! Where in this world can one seek peace when every corner of our planet is filled with this kind of life?

Thomas More’s vision of Utopia was just an elusive dream; similarly, to everyone’s goal to find peace. For me, as I look around this world, peace is really hard to find; however, if we deeply searched for it, there’s a place in our hearts that we can seek peace. When we say peace, it’s like an eternal happiness. A life without war, arguments and evil; also, a life full of love, freedom and peace. But, as it requires lots and lots of sacrifices, it will be hard for an ordinary man to achieve this dream.

News are always repeated. All about violence, killing people, kidnapping and terrorism; nevertheless, they change the characters and the place where it happened. But it is the same old story we usually hear in televisions and radios the whole day. They never change! They never end! This things just makes our travel to Shangri-la more longer. When can we get to this place? A place with permanent happiness; likewise, a place of an earthly paradise. Will this dream end up to nothing?

All the country in this world wants to be at peace. That’s why those that are in higher positions intend to create laws to prevent unnecessary actions of man. Those laws were kept and followed for us to have a harmonious life; however, they are not enough to keep evil from ruining our mind. Look at the eternal violence of man, its like they can never be stopped; moreover, they can never be changed! How can we solve this thing? When will this end? When the new apocalypse is near? Until the end of the world?

Actually, for me, it’s not so hard to be at peace. But, it’s our endless needs that makes a hindrance to achieve it; consequently, man’s mind creates it’s own monster to do bad things. So, we should start to change ourselves first! Make a change for once in your life; furthermore, make a difference and make your way right.

To find peace, I’m starting with the man in the mirror; also, I’m asking him to change his ways. If you wanna make the world a better place then take a look at yourself, and then make a change. Do not take peace as a washout dream; however, we should still persist to have it. Maybe, have it not in the whole world; still, have it on your self, your family. Because in every one step, you can cross the longest bridge ever created.
