A Basic Overview Of Affiliate Marketing And ClickBank For Newbies
#1-- GETTING STARTED --
I've been associated with affiliate marketing ( since 2004 ) & simply put , this is the easiest & best way to make money online.You can get started with little or NO investment because you DON'T need your own WEBSITE, HOSTING, DOMAIN NAME or even an AUTORESPONDER.
You will save hundreds of dollars in start up costs and will be able
to start with "Zero out of Pocket" AND one of the great things about
Affiliate Marketing is that you can start making money in a matter of
just a few days or even in a few hours !
The first thing to do is go over to CLICKBANK and open up a FREE account.You will then receive your own UNIQUE referral link (hoplink) then just insert your "NICKNAME" into the link where it tells you to.
WARNING.... The basic hoplink is not "protected". A customer can simply substitute his or her own nickname and get commission for the purchase.
There are techniques and tools which can disguise or cloak your hoplink to prevent link theft.
Next,go to the Clickbank Marketplace & browse through the products from the NICHE (Categories) you are interested in promoting.
As an Affiliate Marketer, you will be promoting other peoples
products and if the Company you're promoting is legal,reputable & honest,they will never ask you to pay a membership fee to sign up.
Some may offer an UPGRADE or OTO (one time offer) which is
perfectly fine but use your own discretion as to whether the offer
will be beneficial to you in the long term.
The average commissions paid out to Affiliates should range from
50% to 75% (this is max) per sale for a "GOOD" product.Those that
offer less commissions will have you working harder & longer to
make the same amount of money.
#2 -- USING CLICKBANK.....THE POSITIVES
There are approximately one million affiliates promoting products from the Clickbank Marketplace but 90% of these affiliates are INACTIVE which is a good thing but the odds are not in your favor because you've still got 100,000 affiliates chasing 16,000 products so how do we get one step ahead of the competition ?
Clickbank is the largest & most popular Marketplace on the INTERNET with over 16,000 products to choose from so you really need to know how to choose the very BEST products to promote BUT where do you start and how do you weed out the GOOD products from the BAD ones ?
I've noticed a problem lately in that EVERYONE is promoting the most "popular-selling" products which gives you a very high
competition rate and Clickbank does not give YOU enough STATS....

#3 -- USING CLICKBANK.....THE NEGATIVES
I've just scratched the surface on how you can become successful with affiliate marketing using Clickbank but there is one more very important point I'd like to make before I share something special with you.
I mentioned earlier that 90% of Clickbank affiliates are inactive and there are 3 very good reasons for that.
*A*... Getting a sale does not mean you get paid.You must meet a payment threshold & Clickbank has that set at $100.00 . You can lower this to as little as $10.00 but be aware that $2.50 is deducted for each check payment to you and payment is only sent every 2 weeks after the end of a pay period.
*B*... You must make 5 sales with five different credit card numbers using 2 different payment methods ( either Visa , MasterCard or PayPal ) What this means is that you will have to make 5 sales before you get paid.
*C*... Dormant accounts are subject to a charge of $1 per pay period after 90 days of inactivity,$5 per pay period after 180 days of inactivity,and $50 per pay period after 365 days.So , if you have made one sale but then no more sales in the next 2 months or more , Clickbank's deductions will start eating away at your earnings.
